Women in the trenches; How women built the Paris Commune

The Paris Commune was a revolutionary socialist movement that briefly ruled Paris in 1871. This commune was established after the defeat of France in the war with Prussia and following the revolt of all the disaffected people of every creed and opinion, and had a radical plan for social and economic reforms. Although the members of “Women’s Union”, “Women’s Vigilance Committee”, sex workers and other marginalized women played the main role in the commune, but the commune was led by men and women were often marginalized and their names were lost in history.
