Musa Anter, A portraits of an "non-angry Kurd"

Musa Anter, or “Ape Musa” as his lovers call him, is one of the symbols of the Kurdish people. “Ape” means uncle in the Kurdish language of Kermanji. The nickname “Uncle Musa” indicates his position among the Kurds of Turkey. He was an uncle who preserved and nurtured the Kurdish language and culture for his extended family.
