The Rooster in the Room
Story
Nina is a dominatrix, a porn director and a leather artisan. The only person who is more ostracized in Turkey than Nina is Emrah: Nina’s alter ego, the man who she was born and who she wears in the street.
As Nina invites a film crew into her apartment — where she lives and works and creates — the film crew seizes her story and pulls it in new directions, confusing the line between the real and unreal. “The Rooster in the Room” begins with one double life and ends with many, painting a wider psychological portrait of Turkey behind closed doors.
